ADULT CLASSES:
  • New Beginners, Breakfast and Bible Study Class - Meets in the Kitterman Room in the Annex. As the name implies, a light breakfast is provided and enjoyed while studying the scriptures. Ages vary from the 30's to the 80's. The leader is Sandy Bushman.
  • Seekers - Meets in room 208 on the main floor. Ages vary from the 30's to the 60's. The philosophy of the class is that sharing of faith stories, insights gained and life experiences can be helpful to all of us. The Seekers study from a Christian Board series of lessons called The Present Word. Each lesson presents the class members with a scripture to read, study, discuss and apply to their lives. Leaders are Bob Euler and Erin Sack
  • S.O.S (Study, Obey and Serve) - Meets in room 206 on the main floor. The class started in the 1950's as a class for young marrieds with the intent to learn to be future leaders of the church. The class studies material from Standard Publishing NIV Version and supplement from the Lookout: For Today’s Growing Christian. The class contributes to a scholarship for the Jack and Jill Preschool/Extended Care, St. Vincent Clinic. Leavenworth Assistance Center, and church memorials. S.O.S welcomes anyone to come and study - always having a chair open for a visitor. Leaders rotate through the members.
  • Boosters - Meets in room 204 on the main floor. The class has study/discussion, fellowship, and stewardship. The material is used from Standard Publishing, NIV Version. The Boosters have the honor of having the longest uninterruped operating Sunday school class at First Christian. The class started in the 1940's and is still very much alive and active with about 10 members. The members are senior citizen age, but they welcome all ages. The Boosters donate one Sunday’s offering a month to the scholarship fund for Jack and Jill Preschool/Extended Care. Leader is Barbara-Sue Rose.
