(Junior Youth Fellowship, Chi Rho, and Christian Youth Fellowship) Each Sunday at 5:00 p.m. youth in grades 3 through 5, 6 through 8 and 9 through 12 meet for programs designed for personal and spiritual growth along with fellowship and recreation. Special youth trips and activities are planned throughout the year. They can range from ski trips to mission tours. The youth, as a whole, decide on trips and activities. First Christian Church encourages its youth to attend summer camp at Christian Hills Campground at Eureka, Kansas. The Christian Education Department helps with camp fees. First Christian's Scout Troop #176 meets Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to all boys in the community. The First Christian Church has sponsored troop #176 for over 60 years. It meets in the church annex basement each Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Boys must be 11 years old or 10½ and have completed the 5th grade. VBS is held each summer for children of pre-kindergarten through 6th grade ages. In addition, an adult class is offered for adults of all ages.
